Therapy for Career, Identity, and Life Transitions

Therapy often looks different depending on where we are at in life and what we need in the current moment. Getting started, I find it’s helpful to meet with individuals a little more often as we build our relationship, and start talking about where you are at and where you’re feeling stuck.

But as therapy continues, I always look to clients to define what cadence works best for them, both in terms of growth and support but also financially as well. Some clients come in and get a lot done in 6-12 weeks and then take a break. Others will meet with me on an ongoing basis to stay on track with goals in their life and have a regular space and time to talk and what’s going on in their life.

My Approach

We'll start by getting clear on what brought you to therapy now, and what you're hoping is different on the other side of it. I primarily use narrative and solutions-focused therapy, drawing on a range of other approaches depending on what you need.

I offer:

  • A calm, thoughtful space to reflect and grow

  • The right questions to help you find what you already know to be true

  • A collaborative approach, built around your goals

Workshops

I love working with groups, giving presentations and facilitating workshops. Group work can be powerful in its ability to allow participants to connect with and learn from each other. If you've ever felt alone in your struggle, joining a group can help validate that it's not just you. Some recent groups include: Rewriting Your Story: Career Change for Adult Learners, The Emotional Side of Layoffs and It's Brutal Out There: Building Resilience When Job Searching, a virtual career counseling group. If you're interested in a workshop or presentation for your group or organization, get in contact!
