I'm Courtney Allen, a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC) based in Colorado.

For 15 years, I built a career I was supposed to want. I worked hard and got promoted again and again. But I found myself feeling more burned out than fulfilled. And I found myself, more than once, asking a question I now hear again and again from clients: is this it?

That question is what eventually led me here, to counseling, and to the work I do now, helping people sit with that same question instead of pushing past it.

Curious where that question could lead you?

For a lot of my clients, it leads to rediscovering who they are, separate from their job title or their to-do list. That might look like returning to work after parental leave and realizing your priorities, and maybe even your ambitions, have shifted in ways you didn't expect. It might mean learning how to advocate for what you actually need at work, especially as a new parent trying to navigate a workplace that wasn't built with you in mind. Or it might mean redefining what ambition looks like if you've chosen to stay home to care for your family.

For others, it's about translating years of experience into a new career or role entirely, and trusting that your skills carry over even when the path forward isn't obvious.

And for many, it's simpler and harder than any of that: just feeling stuck, burned out, or unsure if this is really it, without knowing quite what to do next. Sometimes it’s wondering how you’re supposed to manage showing up to work while feeling overwhelmed with life.

I've spent time in most of these spaces myself. My own career took me through account management, operations, and internal communications before I found my way to this work, so I understand how tangled career and identity can get, and how disorienting it feels when a role, or a season of life, no longer fits the way it used to.

In our work together, I bring a thoughtful, calm approach. I ask the questions that help you find what you already know to be true.

If you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or ready for a change, I'd love to help you find your way forward.
